It's a Family Affair

So, today was my honey bump's birthday and in the Brown family that equals one thing: PARTY TIME! His mom cooked barbecued and I made my famous seven layer salad :) Needless to say, everything was yummy and it was great to spend time with family. Even though it was just family coming over, I decided to look halfway decent and even threw on a hot pink lip (owwww). I also wanted to wear my jeans that I bleached. I'm pretty darn proud of the way they came out. I came across a YouTube video on how to acid wash your own jeans and thought about my old Target jeggings that I no longer wore and decided they needed to be revived. I couldn't be happier with the result (except I realized they now fit a bit loosely on me due to my weight loss. I ain't complainin' tho) Also, if you want to know how to do it, leave me a comment or go to YouTube there are tons of tutorials; the process is super easy. I went to Forever 21 yesterday with my son (which was no easy task) and even under the pressure I was able to buy a few cute items. One of them was a beautiful turquoise and silver necklace and a great simple white tee (y'all know I love my white tees :)) Forever 21 is by far one of my fave places to pick up pieces because they are so inexpensive and trendy. I swear the quality has improved so much. Hope you guys are enjoying your Memorial Day weekend! Toodles!

Oh--and also I just found out that Forever 21, among other retailers, offer a discount to students. I thought that was pretty awesome.

My bro was making me laugh!
