Makeup Must Haves

Hey guys!

I haven't been going anywhere as of late, therefore I haven't had any cute outfits to post :( (I'm headed somewhere tomorrow night tho, so stay tuned ;)) But, I didn't wanna deprive you guys of new posts so I decided to share my makeup must haves with you guys! Fun, right??

Soooo, I'm not a huge makeup person, but I do have a few things that I go to whenever I choose to feel a bit prettier, shall I say. It's quite odd, I love makeup, love to buy it, love to play in it, yet I can't apply a good eye to save my life! No matter how many YouTube tutorials I watch (and I've watched hundreds) I can't seem to get it right. So maybe you guys could help me with that (Star, Kianna, hint hint).

I am the girl who Sephora and MAC loves simply because all you have to do is say "this product is soooo great" and BAM! you've won me over. And don't let them go the extra mile and apply the product(s), I'll be sure to be $100 in the hole. Sigh.

I've gotten a lot better tho, because I've come to realize that I don't use half the stuff I purchase. Namely, eyeshadows. I only own about 11 MAC eyeshadows, but that's too much for me because I NEVER ever use them! Again, nothing against MAC at all, I LOVE them, I just suck at application (I'm working on it tho)

Sooo, on to the products that I do know how to apply :)

Top from left: Makeup Forever Duo Mat, MAC Bronzing Powder in Solar Riche, e.l.f. eyeshadow pallete in Natural, NARS blush in Luster Second row: Smashbox Highlights Creamy Cheek Color, Loreal Voluminous Mascara, Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara, Benefit High Beam, Makeup Forever HD Foundation #118, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Sand, Benefit Brow Zing in Dark Botttom row: Benefit Pore Perfection, Benefit "That Gal", Benefit Erase Paste, MAC Kohl Eyeliner in Smolder, Milani Eye Tech Liquid Eyeliner in Black, MAC Longwear in Red, Lipsticks listed below

From left: Ruby Woo, Morange, Myth, Viva Glam Lady Gaga (all MAC) and Fuschia (from BSS)

So much to say about these wonderful products!! I'm going to start with my Benefit Brow Zing kit...I LOVE this stuff! Can't live without it, actually. Ever since going to Benefit Cosmetics to get my eyebrows done and having them filled in I have been addicted to filling in my brows and this is the kit to use. It's a bit pricey ($30), but totally worth it. Next, I will talk about my wonderful and new found obsession, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. This baby caught my eye while at the register at Sephora. It's the smaller, sort of trial size, so it's half the price of the regular size ($40). This product is worth every penny! It is perfect for summer because it is so lightweight, provides moderate coverage, SPF, and gives a hint of color. What could be better people?!?! Ok, enough obsessing over that...when I wanna do a full out face, I use Makeup Forever HD Foundation. I haven't used many foundations, so I don't have much to compare this with, BUT, I can say this stuff is amazeballs. Again, it's a bit pricey ($40) but it's totes worth it, at least for me because I don't wear it all the time so it'll last me quite a while. I used to apply it with a stipler brush, but I found that I like the way it looks and feels better when I use my fingers. Plus, I feel like it's more sanitary than using a makeup brush...alright alright, I'm simply too lazy to clean my brushes regularly, sheesh! Now, on to the MUF Duo Mat...this stuff is perfect for applying over your foundation because it mattifies your foundation and I believe it helps it last longer, it comes with a sponge which is great for a good application. Next, is my Benefit High Beam. I don't have enough time to express just how much I love this stuff. This little bottle is about $24 I wanna say, but lasts forever because you only need a bit at a time. You apply it on your cheekbones, corner of your eyes, over the brow bone, along the bridge of your nose, and basically anywhere else you want that dewy look. This stuff is absolute MAGIC! Benefit, Benefit, Benefit...you do me sooo good....I haven't realized how much I really love them until this post lol. On to their Erase Paste, this stuff is a miracle worker! You apply anywhere you want to conceal dark spots, namely underneath your eyes after that long night of partying (hehe). It is amazing because it instantly brightens your face. I've just recently begun to apply it to my lids either alone, or under a shadow for that extra pop and staying power. I love multipurpose products! Now on to my Milani eyeliner. This stuff is suuuuper affordable and efficient. I have always been terrible at applying eyeliner (blame it on these thick-get-in-the-way eyelashes of mine) but lately I have found faith in this eyeliner. It's a pen so it allows for even, and often, perfect application. I also rely on my wonderful, trusty dusty, MAC kohl eyeliner. It is so smooth and creamy and glides on beautifully, I usually use it for my waterline. So now for my blushes...I like the Smashbox creamy blush, the color is awesome for summer, but the only thing is it doesn't seem to last very long...you will most likely have to reapply throughout the day. But that's ok, I grabbed this on sale at Sephora for 7 buckaroos! I actually, accidentally, purchased two. Soooo if anyone wants one....maybe I can do a giveaway for that, huh?! Let me know! Ok, my mascaras are ok...nothing to swoon over. I still haven't found that gotta have it mascara. I am dire need of a brush that will separate my stubborn lashes and make them super long. So, if you guys have any suggestions, feel free to let me in on them! Oh, my NARS, almost forgot (this post is sooo long, sorry) I love my NARS blush. It was suggested to me by a Sephora employee and its such a nice warm beachy color. I sometimes apply to the bridge of my nose for a bronzy look. And the MAC bronzer I've literally had for ages and you can see how much I use it lol. I always use it for a touch of color. And lastly, my lipsticks! All five of them haha! I am in love with each of them tho, they all serve their own purpose. The Ruby Woo is a classic, I actually misplaced it and just found it today which I am uberly excited about. But when I couldn't find it, the longwear worked perfectly. Gotta be careful with that puppy because once it's on, it ON. It's like paint. But it lasts through eating, kissing, and drinking. It's amazing ($20). Next is my Morange. I was being gutsy when I purchased this baby. I haven't worn it tons, bought I do bring it out on special occasions. It's a bit risque but I love it, perfect summer lip color, and orange is so IN. Next is my Myth which is a perfect nude matte lipstick, great for when you're wearing a smokey eye. Then I have my fave babydoll pink Viva Glam Lady Gaga lipstick. That bad boy is almost through! Gotta find a replacement. Then I have my one dolla holla. I bought that fuschia lipstick from my local beauty supply store and it works perfectly!! Just as well as MAC lipsticks (shhh, don't tell em I said that).

So, I am finally done...probably left a few products out but I didn't wanna exhaust your eyes any longer. But if you have anymore questions about any these products I'd be more than willing to answer them. Until then, toodles!!
