Sweet Heat

Hey guys!

I haven't had much time to blog, as I've been mildly busy. So this post may be a bit of a mashup of different events, so bare with me. I went to a website launch about a week ago, and snapped a few pics. The name of the boutique is Epitome Inc. and it's owned by a beautiful young woman named Ricia, I believe. She just opened the boutique a month and a half ago so it's still a baby but it is quite amazing. She has lots of wonderful clothing, for men and women, at affordable prices. Her clothes are for the girl that wants to dress to impress and the same for the guys. I fell in love with a few pieces while I was there and needless to say, I will be back. The boutique is located in the west loop on 220 N. Halsted. I would definitely say this is the place to shop for a girls night out or to find an uber cute chic piece that sets you apart from the crowd!

So next up is the event I went to yesterday. I had the honor and privelege of attending the wonderful The Makeup Show Chicago sneak preview. I have never ever been to anything like this, so when I got the invite I was excited, to say the least. I went with my wonderful Plus Fashion Week Chi girls and we had a good time. The preview was about two hours long (I was late due to heavy traffic) and we were all briefed on the wonderfulness that is going to take place Sunday and Monday. We were graced by the presence of the wonderfully funny James Vincent :) I was surprised to recieve a bag full of yummy makeup goodies!! I was also invited back to the actual show (screams in excitement) so I will have more things to share with you all after Monday! Can't wait! Not too late to get tickets at the door! You can check their site for info on pricing and location. You'd be crazy to miss out!

Round Brush (not sure of brand), Top Left: Mehron's INtense Yellow Spark Pressed Powder Pigment, Bleeding Heart's Mineral Eyez Eye Shimmer in Limoncello, Kevyn Aucoin's Bronze eyeshadow, Makeup Forever Aqua Shadow in black, Vitivia's Pro Vitamin, Second Row:Youngblood's Luminous Creme Blush in Plum Satin, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tar in Radiate, Smashbox's Photo Finish Light Primer, Third Row: Bdellium's Kabuki brush, Senna's Brow Shaper Duo in Blond, Brunette, and Ebony, Stila's Mascara Guard and Lash Comb, Crown Brush's tweezers, precision brush and blush brush

So, as you can see, this goody bag is the SHIT! I never expected to recieve all of this for nada! I'm super excited about the Smashbox Photo Finish (this stuff is pricey). This stuff is like silk. I had a sample of it and lost it so this came right on time! And let's talk about this Stila mascara guard, GENIUS! Countless times I have gotten mascara everywhere else but my lashes. GRRRRRR! And my lashes like to clump together so a comb is the best thing I could ever need. I'm super excited about the OCC Lip Tar in this awesomely bright red! LOVE! And the brow kit....bayyyyyby y'all know how I am about my brows. Well, maybe you don't but I LOVE me some filled in brows!! BONUS!!! The eyeshadows are amaze. I was just saying how I don't have any bright shadows and then BAM! Ughhhhh! There is just not enough room for my excitement and it's gonna get even worse come tomorrow when I get to see all of the vendors. Hopefully I can snag some more goodies!

Ok, now, the next thing. Remember the commercial I told you about in my last post? Well, I shot that commercial yesterday and I had a blast. About ten people were there and we all got our photos taken. Jason will contact us through Facebook and email letting us know when things are finally done. I can't wait to share the video with you all! Meanwhile, I managed to snap a few pics, even though I was sweating on this 98 degree day! Also, not until the pics did I realize how unflattering this outfit was. Eh, you live and you learn, right?? Hope you all enjoy! Toodles!!

I tried false lashes for the first time! I'm addicted now

Asshole jumped in my shot, jk :)

  3. Smiiiikkkle!

I definitely have those learning lessons when I look back through photos and I'm like uhhhh what was I thinking. It's still a learning experience to this day but I'm all about knowing what my body likes and what my body doesn't like. My boobs do not like the loose and tucked in. I think it's the contrast between my cup size and my hips/waist and I just end up looking round lol. So it's either loose/flowy and tight on bottom or not happening. I love the make up as usual though. Smashbox is my live or die product the rare times I put enough effort into tossing on foundation. Congrats on the commercial. You're shooting up girly :)
