Mashup

Hello lovelies!

I have been slacking when it comes to taking pics of my outfits and I am so sorry for that! What I have been doing, however, is taking pics on my handy dandy cell phone :) The quality of the pics may not be great, but hey, it's what I'm working with. I usually do one OOTD but this will be a melange of photos of previous outfits that I have worn this past week. Also, I just wanted to throw in here that I have made a pledge to myself to try and do better when putting together outfits. In the past, I have been known to just "throw" on anything and leave the house, whether I was going to the store or to class. Well, I realized that doing that wasn't a good way to represent myself. I want to make sure that every time I leave the house, I put my best fashionable foot forward because you never know who you'll run into, be it a potential employer, enemy, or ex boyfriend haha. So, I just thought I'd let you all know that I now make sure I at least apply a tinted moisturizer (a little mascara too), make sure my hair is decent, and my outfit is sharp :) It's also a big confidence booster. Nothing like knowing you look good. I hope you all enjoy and I promise to do better in the future as far as picture quality goes! Toodles!

So, I got this idea to wear my scarf this way from the awesomely fashionable Chioma over at CSEvolutionofStyle and can I say it was a breath of fresh air! I never knew how else to style my beloved scarves in the summer heat without melting, but here you go! Needless to say, I will be trying this look again in the future. Thanks girl! P.S. I was on my way to class :) (Shirt/Skirt/Belt: Target//Shoes/Scarf: F21)

I LOVE this look. This blue "skirt" is actually a maxi dress that I got a long time ago from F21 for like 13 bucks. I never wear it without a jacket of some sort because frankly, my boobs are way too big and it doesn't fit right. BUT, I am in love with the dress...soooo I took a look at this open cardigan (also from F21) and thought, hey why not? I love the variation of colors. I was very pleased with the outcome. This is on my way to a friend's house. (Belt: Target)

This outfit was actually from today (these pics are out of chronological order, sorry). I love this top from H&M! It's very fitted which, oddly I love, and it's so comfy. I also love this emerald green shoes from H&M, I've been pairing them with every outfit and color under the sun! Trust me when I say, I will make any color neutral lol. (Necklace: H&M//Skinnies: Target) This was on the way to dinner with my gals :)

I have been looking for a bird print something so I was happy when I came across this beauty in Target and I knew I had to have it. It's actually plus-size and is a bit too big but I didn't care! (Belt:Target)

This yet another casual class look. I love the flowy and sheerness of this F21 top, as well as the color. I paired with my F21 gray skinnies (I'm addicted to their $10.80 jeans) and my fave H&M flats.

Sooo, need I say I've been going crazy at H&M lately?! This top is yet another H&M find. I fell in love with the neon pink trimming and the silkiness of the blouse. I'm trying so hard to get away from wearing just t-shirts, so bare with me lol. I added an even brighter neon necklace, from F21, to make the outfit pop even more. (Skinnies: F21)

So most of these will be my on-the-way-to-class looks. You all have seen this GAP blouse before and can guess by now that it is one of my faves. I paired it with these beautiful cobalt skinnies from Target and my lovely ASOS snood (circle scarf). It was a bit cool out so I couldn't wait to run in my closet to grab a scarf. Hellllllo Fall!

I decided to toss in a few pics from Fashion's Night Out. It wasn't amazing, I hate to say. I think I expected more glitz and glam, but I'm happy that I went and got to spend it with some cool peeps. We looked haute so that's all that matters. Oh--and also drank copious amounts of free champagne! Holla!
Jazmyne looking awesome in her studded JC Litas

We were working the red carpet outside of H&M!

I fell in LOVE with these cat eye Dior shades! They shall be mine one day! (Blouse: H&M//Skinnies: Target//Pumps: Target//Bag: Louis Vuitton Speedy 30) P.S. My braid out has been giving me all kinds of life lately! I love my big unruly jungle hair! Rawwwwr!

Cute Klerlie :) She's a thrifting queen and I love it!

Til next time...oh---and who says curvy gals can't wear horizontal stripes?! Chile please!
