Boyfriend Chic

Hello my lovelies!

"I think your pants are a little too big"- my boyfriend, lol
I have been trying to figure out exactly how to rock my boyfriend jeans without looking down right frumpy. I pulled this faux leather peplum top out of retirement, due to my post pregnancy weight loss, and found that it actually fit again. SCORE! This is definitely one of my favorite tops because even though it's faux leather, the thickness of it is so nice and it makes it very durable. We all know that Forever 21 can be hit or miss when it comes to quality pieces, but every once in a while you can find a piece that will last you more than three washes.

Typically when I wear my boyfriend jeans I wear a looser top with it. Well, as you can imagine, it's not the most flattering look because it almost always translates into a I-didn't-give-a-hoot-so-I-threw-this-on look. So, when I looked at the peplum, I knew immediately that the pairing of the loose and fitted would be magic. Now, I really think the reason why this look works is because of the peplum. Honestly, if the top was completely fitted, it wouldn't work.

I decided to go simple with the shoes, and I pulled out one of my fave pairs of heels from H&M. I love the simplicity and the peek of fun provided by the leopard print. I also live for a single soled pointed toe pump. I think it adds instant chicness.

Hope you all enjoy the photos! Toodles!

It was so windy out!
