Florals and Bubblegum

Hello lovelies!

I'm back with another post! It is absolutely beautiful in Chicago and I had to take advantage by snapping some photos. I just got these beautiful Zara pants back from the tailor and I am so happy I did not return them.
I saw these beauties on sale and grabbed them up immediately (they were only $20!). I bought them in the last size they had which was an x-large and, because I'm still unsure of what size my post baby body is coupled with the fact that I haven't purchased much clothing from Zara, they were slightly big on me. My first mind was to get them tailored, but then my doubt crept in and I decided I was going to return them. Well, when I finally mustered up the energy to box them up, I looked at my return receipt and saw that it was too late to return them. They were officially mine, so I had to make them work. Truth be told, I was a bit excited because I secretly wanted to keep them anyway. I took them to my tailor for a simple alteration that cost me $15. So for $35 I had a perfect pair of pink trousers that I was in love with. WINNING! (do people still say that??)

I'm trying to build up my collection of white button downs, and since my old one is currently too small for me (blame breastfeeding), I have been rocking this one from H&M. I love the fit, even though I could stand to lose a bit more boob, but overall I love the tailored look.

If you follow me on Instagram (@midwestlolita), you've seen this blazer plenty of times, as it is definitely one of my faves. It adds so much personality to an other wise drab look. It's nice to see that my old clothes are beginning to fit again. I REFUSE to give them away.

I'm rocking a tired ponytail simply because it needs to be washed desperately, I apologize. Anywho, I hope you all enjoy these photos! Toodles!

  2. Thats actually a cute button down too. I need one. A girl actually needs like 2-3. Especially a working girl. Love the whole put together!
